Why we built ToolFiddle

Most free tool sites make you trade something for a small favor. You want to compress one image or merge two PDFs, and you end up handing over an email, watching an upload bar crawl, or paying to remove a watermark. Worse, many of them send your file to a server you know nothing about. That is a poor deal for a holiday photo and a genuinely risky one for an ID document, a contract, or anything private.

We wanted the opposite: a set of everyday tools that are actually free, actually private, and quick enough that you forget they are there. So we built ToolFiddle around one simple rule. The work happens on your device, in your browser, using your own processor. Your files are read locally, worked on locally, and handed straight back. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or logged.

What we make

The library spans everyday calculators, unit and currency converters, PDF tools, image editing and format conversion, photo enhancement, generators like QR codes and passwords, text and media utilities, timers, and a long tail of niche calculators for hobbies, fitness, study, driving, and small business. Each tool does one job and does it clearly, so you land on a focused page, do the one thing you came for, and move on.

How we keep it free

ToolFiddle is supported by advertising, not by charging you or selling your data. We aim to keep ads unobtrusive and the pages light, because a tool you reach for in a hurry should not be buried under scripts. There is no premium tier that unlocks the useful features, and there never will be, because the tools cost almost nothing to run once they are built.

The person behind ToolFiddle

ToolFiddle is built by Siddhant Jain. Over the past ten years he has worked with more than 1,800 clients around the world across cloud consulting, experience design, and app development, which means he has spent a great deal of time watching real people try to get real work done with software that too often gets in their way.

That work left him with a firm belief: the small, everyday tools most of us reach for deserve the same care as any professional product, and using one should never cost you money, an account, or your privacy. ToolFiddle is his answer to that. Every tool is meant to be fast, free, and genuinely pleasant to use, with nothing to sign up for, no watermarks, and nothing leaving your device. Many of the more specialist utilities exist because someone needed a free, private version and could not find one done well, and that is still how the library grows.
