Running the formula, the EMI comes out to roughly 26,990 per month. Over the full 240 months you repay about 6,478,000. Subtract the 3,000,000 you borrowed and the total interest is about 3,478,000. Read that again. On this loan you pay more in interest than the amount you originally borrowed.
