Privacy Policy
Last updated July 24, 2026
ToolFiddle is built to collect as little as possible. Our tools run in your browser, so the files and inputs you work with never leave your device. This policy explains what that means in practice, and the limited data the website itself involves.
The short version
- The tools run on your device. Files, images, documents, and the numbers you enter are not uploaded, not stored, and not logged by us.
- We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name or email to use a tool.
- Like most websites, our host and any analytics or advertising partners may process limited technical data such as your IP address and cookies.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information we do not collect
The content you put into a ToolFiddle tool stays with you. When you drop in a photo or a PDF, choose options, or type values, the processing happens locally in your browser using your device's own resources. That data is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see it, store it, or recover it.
Information collected automatically
When you visit any website, some technical information is exchanged so the page can load. Our web host and content delivery network may process your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the time of your request, in the form of standard server logs, to deliver the site and keep it secure. This is common to essentially all websites and is not tied to your identity by us.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser. We use them sparingly:
- Essential and preference cookies or local storage may be used to remember settings such as your light or dark theme so the site behaves the way you expect.
- Analytics, if enabled, helps us understand which tools are used so we can improve them. Where we use analytics, we prefer privacy-respecting, aggregated measurement.
- Advertising cookies may be set by our advertising partners, described below, when advertising is active on the site.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect small conveniences such as remembering your theme, but the tools themselves will still work.
Advertising
ToolFiddle is supported by advertising. When advertising is active, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to ToolFiddle and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices, and in Europe at youronlinechoices.eu.
Advertising partners operate under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Children's privacy
ToolFiddle is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the tools run locally and we do not require accounts, there is little personal information involved in the first place.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data, such as the right to access, correct, or delete it, or to opt out of certain processing under laws like the GDPR or the CCPA. Because we do not build profiles of you or collect the content you process, the personal data we hold is minimal. If you have a request or a question about your data, contact us and we will help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves, for example if we add analytics or turn on advertising. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top of this page.
